Located in Downtown Mooresville, NC, Welcome Vets Museum at Richard's Coffee Shop serves as both a place of respectful respite for veterans and their families to gather as well as a historical museum lovingly crafted to provide tribute to veterans of all conflicts and all branches of the military.
We are open to all who want to join us from 8AM - 1PM, Monday through Saturday. We serve breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Saturday until 12:30PM (kitchen is closed on Mondays), and of course, plenty of coffee! The museum is free to visit; we do have a gift shop if you are searching for military merchandise. Don't forget to head over on Thursdays for free coffee and Saturday mornings for music jams!

Help us keep it all going and growing! Many one-of-a-kind artifacts, mementos and souvenirs are exhibited in our museum. So many of our regular visiting veterans have helped find, procure, and institute the memorabilia on display. We are also a LIVING museum so we value relics, memories, stories, old-timers, newcomers, and pieces from all conflicts and all vets alike. All veterans that sign in with us become part of our “Book of Honor” which carries the names of over 21,000 veterans from all over the world and recognizes the service they have given. With this signing, they are presented with a two-row beaded keychain representing the American Flag, which they served and either the branch of service or conflict(s) they served in. This keychain is visible and a recognized symbol in almost any part of the world in which the United States has a presence.
